About

YOUDOWN is a hyper-local app for doing things with people you haven't met yet. A host posts something real they're already doing — four seats at a tennis court, six at a dinner table, three on a boat — records a fifteen-second video pitch, and sets one to three questions.

Guests apply on video, answering those questions with their actual face. The host watches the tapes and picks their crew. A group chat opens, a countdown runs, everyone shows up, and afterwards they rate it.

The video application is the mechanism the rest of the category doesn't have. Anyone can type “love the outdoors” into a profile; nobody can fake fifteen seconds of themselves saying it out loud. It means hosts get people who match the activity, and guests know who they're meeting before they leave the house.
